A little rhyme for your time on this post and the trouble

to read how it goes for the most

of us in the county who get sick without bounty.

In this day and age it shouldn’t come down

to the choice between food and crutches.

Or chemo and your kids.

I know it doesn’t rhyme so well, but there are 28,000 people

in this hell.  In Bernalillo County,

the only one here without Indigent Fund bounty.

How’s that, you say?  Call your County Commissioner today.

Tell them to fix it by covering us all.

And fully fund Pathways with it’s fair share, for crap’s sake.
